TheMix 8 Posted March 19, 2016 My (tenituve) surgery date is 4/28 I meet with the Dr on Tuesday and will confirm... I'm on YouTube, Pintrest, and Googling like crazy. Before and after pics, sleevers week by week vlogs on their progress. Do's and don'ts. Everthing.... Does anyone have any suggestions on what you did pre-op to get ready and get all the info possible? I've been watching this one girl FlyGirl Fitness on YouTube. She has a weekly vlog documenting her progress. I was just wondering what everyone else did
Bohemian 21 Posted March 19, 2016 My date is 4/29 and I'm doing all the same things as you. I'm borderline obsessed because I'm so excited Sent from my SM-G903W using the BariatricPal App
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted March 19, 2016 Some of the things I did pre-op that helped: On the direction of my program started taking D3, a Multivitamin, and Iron (I had slacked off on my vitamins). Worked up to 60 minutes of exercise a day. I was pretty immobile so I got an exercise peddler and peddled with my hands while watching tv. Tracked my food and exercise. (Pre-op, I used the Weight Watcher app because I was already using it and wanted to keep continuity until surgery. Post-op I switched to MyFitnessPal). Increased my Water consumption to at least 64 oz a day. Weaned myself off of carbonation. Weaned myself off of caffeine. Ate more vegetables and whole fruit.< /p> Updated my will and made a living will. Acquired pre- and post-op supplies (kitchen scale, storage containers, etc.) Tried samples of different Protein supplements. Read and learned as much as I could. It is an exciting time. Keeping busy will help the time go by in a flash. Best of luck with your surgery.
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted March 19, 2016 My best advice is to go to bed early and sleep as much as possible. Also, don't watch TV. I binge watched Fat Doctor from the UK start to finish 2 times over those 10 days of pre-op. My pre-op was all liquids and very few calories. I had no energy. I didn't bother walking or working out, since most of the time I was light headed.

graciegretta 7 Posted March 19, 2016 My Dr gave me a book of instructions. 2 weeks prior I can only have these Protein shakes they give me and Water. Also have to go off all NSAIDS because they can cause ulcers. Also have to take flint stones chewables with Iron and start taking colace for Constipation. Get in as much exercise as possible to help your lungs so you don't get pneumonia which can happen after surgery I guess. Lots of different advise here so your best bet is to talk to your Dr. Best of luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Dub 9,922 Posted March 19, 2016 What I did pre-op ???? I was eager.....ready....excited. I was relieved every day when the sun came up....knowing I was closer.... Spent a lot of time on here. A lot of time reading up on success stories.....seeing the positive outcomes and soaking it all in.
glitter eyes 1,398 Posted March 20, 2016 One of the things I felt that helped me was I weaned myself off all caffeine, carbonated beverages, and all refined sugar one month before I started my two week liquid pre op diet. I felt that this made the two week liquid diet so so much easier because I did not have any cravings or caffeine withdrawal. I also spent a lot of time on this site reading and trying to soak up as much information and experiences as possible. Good luck on your surgery!
