iwillbeachitagain 7 Posted March 18, 2016 Even with a 44 pound loss, I already have scary loose skin on my upper arms. I wear sleeveless tops and dresses all summer ... Does anyone have suggestions for exercises to firm them up? Is there a surgical procedure that can be done way in the future after I have met and maintained my goal? Recycled 2,182 Posted March 19, 2016 Exercises probably won't do much. There is a procedure called brachioplasty, however I have heard from others it can leave some unsightly scars. Either way, you have plenty of time to check into it, because you need to wait quite a while after you stabilize you weight loss to have it done. There are some new procedures surfacing now that are being done that eliminates most of the scars. Take you time and check into it thoroughly.
kstein01 14 Posted March 19, 2016 I had bilateral brachioplasty twice. It wasn't bad. I much prefer the scar then the hanging skin that I had. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
kaitlynm 335 Posted March 19, 2016 I'm down 87 pounds from my starting weight and I have some serious bat wings. I also have some loose skin on my thighs that I never had when I lost weight before. On the other hand my butt has all but disappeared. Do you think the could take the skin from my arms and thighs and make a butt out of it? [emoji6]. Here is my arm (just upside down [emoji123]????)
