If you aren't drinking or eating enough Protein, the simple solution is to drink Protein shakes, then you kill two birds with one stone.
I wasn't commenting for help. I was just letting the original poster know they were not alone... In their situation with stalling.. The original poster wanted comments as it was their post.

I know what I'm doing wrong and never said it was right but nor should I be chastised by people that are not my doctor or that don't have a degree in this area...

Yes it's a public forum... if I made the topic I obviously want comments but I didn't I was commenting...

And I didn't say I don't want comments. I simply stated I didn't want that particular person talking to me? Why would I want a negative person talking to me? I have a right to say that... On a public forum...

My post didn't say I never meet my goal I just stated its difficult for me personally to do so. You don't know my story or my struggles to be completely rude and make sarcastic comments. I'm not here for negativity like some of you who think this forum is for you to bully others because they don't get enough Protein or water! We all know to do it. But not everyone is the same, everyone has different struggles and honestly if you can't make constructive comments then they shouldn't be made. It is a forum for the public but it not a "bully people forum" last time I checked.

I totally agree with you as I myself have received unwanted criticism and also had to speak up for myself. @@Fame your post was rude and condescending .

I am 4 months out and have a very difficult time getting in enough Water and protein not because I don't know that I am supposed to but for some reason find it difficult to do so.

@@Fame

Huh. I didn't realize suggesting doing what you know you need to was considered bullying?

Stop being so sensitive.

Drink your fluids and eat your Protein and maybe you won't stall all the time. That's all she was trying to say. She knows what she's talking about. She's been there done that where it comes to WLS. Maybe listening to the vets instead of being so defensive may actually be helpful for your stalling issue, no?

@@Fame no one is bullying you. You are really being over dramatic. People are offering you simple advice and you are taking it wrong because of your own issues, not the advice.

You are the person with the nasty attitude here.

Yep I have a nasty attitude because I don't like people being rude for no reason. You got me!

@@Fame you are really projecting at this point. You are making something of nothing.

If you don't like what people are saying you can ignore it instead of being snippy and combative when people are only trying to help.

I don't know what your problem is and at this point I don't care.

Big difference from sarcasm and suggestions. I didn't say she didn't know what she was talking about... I know I have to get my fluids and Protein to not stall... Sheesh I'm only saying it's difficult for me.... Holy cow everyone... Everyone one is not the same! Some people have difficulties.

Here's how I look at WLS: This journey is tough in many ways. It's certainly not "cheating" and not "the easy way." It takes commitment and an eye focused unblinkingly on the prize.

WLS has been an amazing tool for me. I bet that almost everyone has to be committed to make it to the finish line (however you define that) and to stay there. Even then, the deck is stacked against some committed folks who suffer from metabolic and auto-immune diseases, meds that slow their weight loss, surgical and other complications, and other issues.

I don't assume anyone finds this journey to be easy. But the reality of WLS is that it's our actual behaviors that determine what our rewards will be.

That's why everyone who's had WLS who's trying to lose weight or trying to maintain their weight should consider this: If you don't like the results you're getting, consider whether you need to change your behavior.

Some (including me) benefit from counseling / therapy. Some have to eat less than others. Some have to exercise more than others.

Only you know what you're eating / drinking and how you're exercising and can figure out which behavior changes you should make your WLS a success for you.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
