Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted March 14, 2016 A few weeks ago these cute polite boys and one girl came to my door and wanted to demonstrate the Kirby. My friend and I were here and they finally talked me into letting one of them come in and do the demonstration. I had no idea they were going to get my carpet wet which they did while I was out of the room. I called his boss and said my area rug is ruined, and he asked me to send pictures. I did that and they clearly showed my carpet is all wrinkled and wavy. Now he will not return my phone calls. The office is in WA state and I am in Oregon. I looked online for Kirby Corporation to see if there was anyone I could complain to besides the Better Business Bureau. Does anyone have any suggestions? ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted March 15, 2016 area rug is ruined @@Oregondaisy that's terrible!! sorry no new/good thoughts/comments on what to do just reinforcement of your words i WOULD continue to call the store you dealt with manager can't ignore your calls forever!! mention that you are already complaining about Kirby Products to OP (which you are) how many people read these BP boards? no management store wants to be bad mouthed sending an e-mail is good but you can only use all caps and exclamation marks they won't scare anyone i think a phone call is better in person/on the phone you can be more forceful/ aggressive if "they" are still no help, tell Kirby Store if they don't help you - you will definitely cc them with a complaint letter to Kirby Associates (then he''ll know your serious) call the better business bureau (do that regardless of final results!!) never give up! 7 years PO - fluctuating/maintaining ! you had/have the stamina to lose 100+ lbs you can do anything!! when all is said and done - my suggestion you and ALLLL your friends should each take a 5 qt bucket of Water and pour/spread the Water on a few of their area rugs!! see how "they" like it!! be sure you have a designated driver with a FAST get a way car!!!! LOL good luck bud kathy your all wet friend!!

Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted March 15, 2016 Thank you! I tried finding something online about the Kirby Corp. but all I could find were other people complaining or how to be a kirby dealer. I have called several times a day and always get an answering machine. I'm going to call the attorney general. That is a great idea!
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted March 15, 2016 I am so good at"no" - no magazines, no carpet cleaners and no religion peddlers. I am a sucker for girl scouts (and their demon cookies) but otherwise....no. I am sorry this very annoying thing happened! I am sure they were just following their training, no harm intended...but...NO!
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted March 15, 2016 I am usually good at shutting the door in people's faces but these kids were cute, well dressed, good looking and they begged. I felt sorry for them.
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted March 15, 2016 Oh... I know! Did you get through to anybody. Sent from my KFJWI using the BariatricPal App
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted March 16, 2016 Oh... I know! Did you get through to anybody. Sent from my KFJWI using the BariatricPal App I haven't tried yet. Do people in Seattle's newspaper write letters to the editor about things like this? The company is actually out of WA.
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted March 17, 2016 Not really...I think attorneys general and better business bureau over newspaper letters. How about small claims count? Sent from my KFJWI using the BariatricPal App
