Pain is finally starting to subside, main incision is giving me hell. Tons of indigestion and pain when taking deep breaths or in my lower back around kidney areas. No blood in urine and no difficulty urinating just around constant pain despite walking and flatulence. Had a nightmare experience in Tiajuana and rushed recovery due to unforeseen issues. I'm back on US soil and can't get any answers or help from the "team" that couldn't wait to take my money. I'm exhausted a lot faster than normal and for the first time yesterday had some broth rather than Water or juice. I'm just wondering how far out everyone is before the pain lessens, and they tackled soft foods. I sipped my water at a huge family function yesterday but that broccoli and cheese never looked so good! I also haven't done too many shakes, the ones I liked before aren't sitting well with my stomach and I don't seem to like the flavor anymore. I suppose I just need any andndnnythings every bit of info and input I can get. Knowledge is power! Don't regret my decision to do it and I haven't weighed myself yet, trying to avoid equating success by pounds lost.

You need to get some Protein in. If the shakes you had before are sitting well or don't taste, good, experiment with some other brands. A lot of people do well immediately post-op with the clear Isopure drinks (available at GNC) or Syntrax nectar powder that blends with Water to become a "clear" liquid. Are you on any meds at all? I was on a PPI, pain meds, and an anti-nausea med for the first several days post-op. The pain in your back when taking deep breaths sounds like heartburn to me, so a PPI might help with that.

Did you not receive a post-op food stage plan? Most plans wouldn't have you on purees or soft foods until a week or more out. If you were just sleeved 4 days ago, you should likely be on clear or full liquids right now.

I did not receive a post op diet, I just figured I'd stick with the Protein shakes and light liquids I was doing before the surgery until I felt like I was ready to try soft food. My biggest accomplishment thus far is sleeping on my side. I'm using New whey shots(40 grams of protein) in between Water, and I am also on a nightmare oral antibiotic and Tylenol as needed for pain.

To be fair, no one I used for the operation is now in contacr after a huge issue arose thay almost left my mom and I stranded in Mexico the day we were meant to come home. I have emailed the surgeon and my coordinate and liason and have heard nothing back. Funny how the responses were so quick before the operation.

Jeez. Which surgeon did you use that they didn't even give you a post-op plan? I had my plan emailed to me well before surgery so I could make arrangements and buy supplies ahead of time. If you PM me your email address, I'll forward you my surgeon's plan so you at least have something to go by. Definitely don't just figure it out through trial and error. You can do serious damage to your sleeve by eating the wrong things too soon. It sounds like you've already had a rough time, so you definitely don't want to put your healing at risk now!
