smb1966 129 Posted March 12, 2016 Question…… . I am 6 months out and started going to the gym 5 days a week at 5 months. Since then I feel like I am always hungry. I also find myself wanting an occasional sweet. What's going on here, any ideas? Also is there a way I can shock my mind back to the restrictions that I so religiously followed before. My weight loss is good I started at 214-216 and am down to 160, but I don't want to make poor choices this early in.
Wendyfm 494 Posted March 12, 2016 If you are exercising a lot your head hunger may be actual hunger. You may not be eating enough. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted March 12, 2016 What are you eating? Are you getting in all of your Protein? Are you getting in at least 64 oz of Fluid a day, plus more since you are exercising intensely? Are you eating good carbs? Are you still taking all of your Vitamins and supplements as instructed? I agree you may not be eating enough to support your exercise but really don't know without more details. The best advice I can give you is to make an appointment with your NUT to talk about your goals and your challenges. Best of luck.
butterfly23 423 Posted March 12, 2016 @@smb1966 congrats on your success thus far! ISG said it well, recheck your metrics (I find the sweet cravings come when carbs creep in). Only other suggestion is some folks on here (me included) have had success with the 5 day pouch test, basically going back to liquids only (high Protein low carb) like you did in the beginning. Can increase restriction and decrease cravings.
