pierper 4 Posted March 11, 2016 having horrible pain when I'm walking. I am 4 weeks post-op and need to walk every day.I started to using a stable bicycle. Do you have any suggestions to help me get the exercise in
IzzyB 2 Posted March 11, 2016 Maybe try swimming when your wounds are ready. I had two bone spurs removed from my heels a long time ago and it took a good year before I could wear shoes with any type of back. You may also want to try the mule style tennis shoes as they wont put pressure on your heel. Good. luck!
GermanShepherdMama 145 Posted April 15, 2016 Also, you could consider making an appt with a podiatrist. They could possibly talk about a cortisone injection. This is something that is easily done in the office, usually right during your appt.
treblecutie23 318 Posted April 16, 2016 I dealt with this in the past and my podiatrist reccomended sleeping in a stabilizing book to keep my ankle flexed and to do stretching before he'd consider injections. It def helped and I didn't end up needing the injections! I can still see the bone spur on the back of my heel but having lost significant weight it no longer bothers me.
