@@AnA92212, that dude was having a defensive tantrum, aiming for, well, the tender spot.

This reminds me of a man I met long ago. We spoke a few times, had good conversation, he ws intelligent, witty, we had common interests. The meeting was disappointing. When he asked if I'd like to spend the night at his apartment (!), I very nicely (really) declined, "No, thank you, I think I should go home..." He saw me to a taxi and was cooing and a tad touchy-feely while we waited for one to pull up. A moment after I walked in to my apartment, the phone rang. He apparently got that I was being more than "lady-like." He was calling to say that he didn't want to pursue anything, as he felt pressured, that I already thought we were a couple. How he arrived at that from a kind variation on, "No, fella, I'm outta here."

@@Amelie2016, somehow I don't see being kicked in the gut an uplifting, revelatory way to learn any sort of lesson for the future. There are ways far more considerate and graceful to back off from a person without first going in for the kill.

Hey

I didn't do it, he did. Of course there are better ways to do it, but he chose what he chose, no?

You can take the experience and see it for what it was, or you can try to make it look like he was being kind. He was not. And yes you can turn suffering into a learning experience.

UPDATE:

It didn't take him long to resurface. Apparently, all along he was living with someone else (separate bedrooms?....pffft). We talked for a couple hours friday night and I saw him on Saturday night and then had a latent epiphany. He is a liar. Done.

Make sure he knows you had this epiphany and realized he isn't worth one more minute of your time.

@@RILEYSMOM22,

I know this was more than 2 months ago. But just saw it and wanted to comment. This says EVERYTHING about him and NOTHING about you. Typically when people act this way it's based on insecurities. I think if someone said this to me I'd likely respond with "well I'm not used to being with someone so small (endowed)". ;). Hope your future experiences are better.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
