ssflbelle 829 Posted April 15, 2016 11 weeks out from my sleeve surgery and I just biked 6.04 miles today in 53 minutes. I am hooked on biking and so looking forward to doing the Loop the Lake for Literacy Bike challenge in Feb 2017. It is 14 miles and I know I will be able to do it. lasmith0802 67 Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) I love my trek, I totally took the old seat off and exchanged it for a little bit bigger seat! I bought an Xcalibar 8, my highest weight was 270. Good Luck[emoji468]????[emoji467]????[emoji468]????[emoji467]???? Edited April 15, 2016 by lasmith0802
CBT 450 Posted April 17, 2016 A little spendy but maybe worth it? There are PTs who have extra certification in cycling. You bring your bike to them and they measure and adjust to custom fit you to your bike. In that assessment, they are also evaluating your muscle imbalances, etc. My understanding is cost around 150-200 dollars.
BelgianGuy 350 Posted October 17, 2016 (edited) I already loved biking before my surgery, but now I love it even more! Today, I biked around 40kilometers (approx 25miles), it's not much but I try to bike around 25 to 30 km three times a week, and it feels pretty cool. I am living in the countryside, so I get nicely paved roads and also dirt roads normally used for tractors and such stuff. Biking feels really nice, and mixing it with swimming once a week has sure helped me a lot with my weightloss and my not so abundant skin excess. Cheers everyone.
