haleymarie 35 Posted March 3, 2016 So my nutritionist requires you lose 10% of your body weight (14 pounds) before surgery. I started a diet the day after seeing her which will be exactly 4 weeks this Saturday. In that time I've dropped 20 pounds...this happens everytime I diet. I drop weight quick then it stalls and i gain...will I be disqualified for losing too much weight???

I would call your NUT. 20 lbs in 4 weeks preop is awesome!! I have same problem but usually stall after 16 pounds loss. I am down 11 and have 9 more to go. 4 to go to get appt with psych. Champ715 207 Posted March 3, 2016 (edited) Just curious but what was your starting weight? 14 is 10% of 140, which seems way too low to even consider weight loss surgery. PS: Not trying to be rude or anything. I'm genuinely curious Edited March 3, 2016 by CourtneyLouise
LaurieMore 20 Posted March 4, 2016 They may have been taking 10% of her highest weight. I had to lose 11 since I was already down from my highest. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
