I have heard that the herbal tea Smooth Moves is very helpful..

Yes, Smooth Move Tea works great and the cup of tea is very good. The original blend has a slight licorice flavor and there is also a peppermint flavor.

I guess you have to try this Digestic by Mimonis since you already tried the Water but it was not working. It is an herbal supplement I have used to relieved my Constipation and fortunately I am totally relieved. It just take me two days before being cured.

I was completely opposite before surgery. I used to go about eight times a day diarrhea. Now I'm lucky if I go every 4-5 and it's painful when I do go!! That I have to move in different positions because of it. I even went to the ER because I thought I had a blockage turn out I was dehydrated and once they gave me the fluids boy did I go. (I had no control) Try Milk of magnesia that has helped for me or even an enema.

I follow my nut and surgeons religiously...except for this :(

Every Friday night I take a heap of laxatives so I can clear myself out for the week. So I only go one day a week, but a few times in that day.

I know I have to stop as long term it is a really bad way to manage it, but I had a few really bad bouts trying to pass a freaking watermelon, and I never want to go back there.

Chastise away.

I'm with you, I had to cave and use real laxatives. Smooth Move tea was so gross I couldn't even drink more than a sip or two, Milk of Mag wasn't cutting it. I do take Probiotics daily and miralax but it still wasn't helping.

It's horrible.

I am very jealous. Nothing so far for me. I have had miralax, ducolax and Smooth Move tea. If that doesn't help I will do mom.

My dr suggested Miralax also. Very helpful. It works naturally so it's non habit forming like a regular laxative.

Another option is to go on liquids for a few days to clean out your system.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
