NoMoreofThis2016 0 Posted February 29, 2016 Hi All, Well like most of you, I have had enough of food ruling my life... Tomorrow is my initial visit with the dr. My insurance covers the surgery and without the 6 month waiting period????. My only concern is they are saying my weight is borderline. For the first time in my life someone is telling me I'm not fat enough! I also don't think I'm going to have 2 major other things wrong with me. I'm desperate for this surgery, is there anything I can do to persuade insurance to pay. I've even tough about putting weights on my body so I appear heavier! Any advice is appreciated SC Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted February 29, 2016 I have certainly heard of: carrying hand weights in your pockets, stuffing rolls of quarters in your bra, wearing ankle weights, wearing your heaviest clothes (boots, fisherman's sweater, etc.). Eat a big Breakfast, drink a lot, and stay far away from the bathroom. You get the idea. I have heard of this, but of course could not advocate doing it no matter how much I hate insurance companies and think they should pay for all the times they have cheated people out of their rightful benefits.
