rjonesii 0 Posted August 2, 2007 Hello to all, :help:I am new to this forum and I am curious if anyone else has had this problem. I take vitams, watch what I take in, and try to get 6-8 hours of sleep a night but I am still tired. I can't make it passed 2pm without nodding. What can i do? How do you guys get all of the info(BMI,weight loss) on your post?

How do you guys get all of the info(BMI,weight loss) on your post? Do you snore? If you are always tired I would recommend seeing your primary care doc and maybe have a sleep study done. You may have sleep apnea.
Manatee 4 Posted August 2, 2007 +1 on the sleep study. You're describing the classic symptoms of interrupted sleep patterns. Many obese people require CPAP assistance to get a good night's sleep.
Northernsun 4 Posted August 2, 2007 GET A sleep STUDY! If you have apnea, you will be amazed at how much better you feel when you start with the cpap.
budinindy 0 Posted August 3, 2007 Hey Guys...I need to chime in here too. I had my surgery 11 days ago...and for the last 3-4 days...I have been having sleep issues too. I comfortably sleep w/a CPAP. My issue is, frankly, I feel like my brain will not shut off and some of the evenings have felt jittery. I can feel I need to fall asleep...but my body just does not turn off. I've been doing everything exactly as my Dr. instructed...and the only new med I'm on is Lexapro. Could that be doing it? I've never been on an antidepressant before. As always....your insights are appreciated. Take care, Bud

CallMeJim 2 Posted August 10, 2007 Glad to hear I'm not the only one battling insomnia. My doc prescribed trazedone (antidepressant) for use at night to help with sleeping. It has helped somewhat. Benedryl has also been helpful. Hang in there! Jim
