2 months post-op

Recommended Posts

It's been 2 months since surgery and I know I'm eating less than before surgery but it seems like I'm even eating less than I should.

How much do (or did) y'all eat at your 2-month mark?

It also takes me at least an hour to finish my tiny bit of food. Is that normal to?

Thanks for your help :-)

I'm almost 6.5 months out and I'm still not eating what I'm "supposed" to be eating, in terms of the amounts. I'm supposed to be able to eat half a cup of food, perhaps 1/4 cup if it's meat or something dense. I'm at maybe half that.

At my 6 month checkup a couple weeks ago, my surgeon did not seem concerned, mainly because I don't have any pain or vomiting, which would be an indication of serious problems. She just said to continue measuring and tracking everything, and if it takes me three small meals to finish a half cup of food, then do it. I also supplement with a shake a day, sometimes two if my stomach is being particularly bitchy.

If you're not feeling any pain or vomiting and you're getting in your Water and Protein, I wouldn't worry about it. It takes a lot of time to heal and adjust. How is your Water and Protein intake, btw? Are you able to get in what you need, or at least close to it?

I'm able to get close to it. It's already hard to eat bc I'm not hungry but then I take medication for ADD and that makes me not hungry either so I have to force myself to sit down and eat and drink.

Who would of thought that those things would become a chore!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
