Help need breakfast ideas for traveling

Recommended Posts

I will be going to travel to Toronto on my 4th week. It's a business trip. What can I bring or what should I look out for to eat for Breakfast. I think I have lunch covered with a tuna making kit. Help....

A scrambled egg is easy to order at almost any restaurant, or from room service. A Protein drink is an easy option also... When I travel I like the convenience of the single serve packets of Syntrax Nectars. They are easy to pack, easy to throw a packet in my purse to have on hand, and mix well with just plain Water.

Flying and no rental car. My stomach turns to bloat city when having a ready made shake. Do you use Water for the Syntrax mix? Do you use a blender cup?

The Syntrax blend really easy with just a spoon, they don't clump or leave floating chunks like some of the mixes do. Yes, the fruit flavors are best mixed with Water. Fuzzy Navel is a flavor that I see a lot of people like, tastes like Tang. The Cappucinno is my favorite.

Yes, I use Water to mix Syntrax, either with a spoon or a blender cup.

If your hotel has a fridge you might want to get some single serve yogurts or cottage cheese.

If you are ordering in a restaurant then yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs, etc. are usually on most hotel and restaurant breakfast menus.

As far as fast food, most fast food restaurants that have breakfast have eggs.< /p>

You don't necessarily have to have "breakfast" food for breakfast either. tuna could work for breakfast, too.

Have fun. I haven't been there is decades, but I loved Toronto when I was there. It is a beautiful city.

Most fast food joint breakfasts can work fine depending on what you like.

Just pick what you choose apart, eat the egg & other parts you like, then throw the rest [wrap, bun etc] in the trash

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
