So I thought after losing 60Ibs. I would put myself out there. So I was talking to a guy for a couple of days whom seem to be really nice and had his act together. Just to end up annoying me. lol Why do I even bother or even put myself out there !?! Now I am sitting at work upset thinking I am not good enough for pple. I have always had a hard time dating.

That's a load of crap, if he stopped talking to you his loss, and he wasn't worth knowing. Focus on you right now if you aren't ready. Do not let this one hiccup ruin your day or put a damper on your confidence.

ok, to play the dating game, you need a much thicker skin than that! People come and go... for no obvious reason and lots of time I am glad they are gone. And,i have been flakey too - I just am not invested until I get to know somebody.

The hard part for me, is once i am invested, i hate things to end even if I want it to end. i know that sounds crazy, but it is how i feel.

i just started dating again, after taking a break. I met the first person last night and what was incredibly refreshing is my ability to be completely straightforward. We spent a few hours together and at some point we spoke about very genuine things. There is something to be said for just not worrying too much about one person in the early stages - there are like a lot more out there where that one came from.

don't give up so easily and don't focus too early on one person because about 95-99% percent of them aren't a good match or it isnt the right time for one or the other of you anyway.

I luckily haven't dated in years, but one thing I will pass on that I firmly believe; aim high. Never put a person on a pedestal because many times that person is just wanting someone to approach them. I dated several women that should have been out of my league, but men never asked them out for fear of rejection.

Also, don't forget to focus on yourself. Workout because you want to look good as well as feel good. Buy one thing for yourself every month. Doesn't have to be something expensive, maybe a shirt or dress or even a knick-knack for the house. Do things that improve your life and your self image/confidence. A pretty woman like yourself paired with confidence can conquer the world.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
