I'm so frustrated!

I was seeing my pcp for two years now and ever since I started my journey I can't see my pcp because now all of a sudden she doesn't take my insurance so I see someone else who is robotic, rude, and doubts my success which has me wanting to give up but I know I really need this surgery. Has anyone ever had to switch PCP during the monthly 6 month supervised diet phase before surgery?! Is that even allowed? I don't know how that works. Even if I wasn't having surgery I would still switch pcps.

Why not talk with your old PCP and see if he/she would be willing to do the paperwork to get hooked up with your insurance? It's usually all about form filling and getting certified by that particular insurance.

It can't hurt to ask.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
