Hi baileyj908...

I mean no disrespect when I ask the following...

Did you just ask for information that you know is going to be [a] the same as, or similar to, information that you already have, and ultimately not relevant your own situation?

The reality is, if you seem to be losing slower than others, you probably are..

How are you measuring your rate of loss compared to everyone else?

Pound for pound?

Comparing starting weights?

Comparing goal weights?

Comparing percentage of bodyweight lost?

Ultimately, here's what matters -

Are you being accurate and obsessive with your protein/water and following your surgeon/nutritionists?

They know best (usually)..

They know YOUR situation better than anyone else, especially in here or on Facebook...

Do what they and you'll get there...

In my opinion, any further information you get re the loss rate of others will only serve to confuse and dishearten you until you come across someone who is losing at a slower rate than you - And I guarantee that there will be many out there who are doing just that!!

Of course, you can always tell me to mind my own business...

But for mine, you're better of NOT comparing...

Good luck..

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
