kimkw 7 Posted February 24, 2016 Got my band 2-2014. April 2015, saw my surgeon after alot of reflux, vomiting. He did an upper an upper GI and just said, it needed to be loosened and that was just as tight as I could tolerate. After 10 months of being hungry, gaining weight, reflux. I decided to go back and see the nurse practitioner. She did an upper GI. the next day. Saw her right after. She said it had to come out. My stomach and esphogas was "still" distended. So I spent 10 months like that. Not sure if this is permanent damage. I go tomorrow to start my 3 month diet trial which I think is ridiculous, but I have to do in order to have conversion to a sleeve. So frustrating! ! B-52 7,113 Posted February 24, 2016 I could comment but it would only be speculative...medical conditions are between the patient and their Dr and lay people should not try to diagnose, even with their own experiences. Good Luck with the sleeve...
kimkw 7 Posted February 24, 2016 Thanks for the comment. Not e x a Dr however nurse for 27 years. Upper GI is proof of issues. Diet trial purpose is to show commitment to weight loss. I think the band shows that. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
