nervousnelly719 67 Posted February 23, 2016 these two weeks... I'm thinking they may be way worse then life post op... mentally draining ...just going through the motions of coming terms with the doors that i have accepted as being closed for years and realizing they are about to be open. realizing the certain people's support (not approval) is imperative to this...i genuinely feel for those who don't have anyone on this journey and am just so grateful for this site and the supportive people on it.... feeling very emotional and very excited... two weeks to go.... JamieLogical 8,710 Posted February 23, 2016 The pre-op is brutal for sure. Post-op is challenging too, but in a very different way. On the pre-op you are having to live your normal life on very few calories and it's exhausting. You have to go to work/school every day, take care of family/kids/house, and you still have 100% of your stomach. Plus you are processing and handling all the stress and anxiety around the surgery itself. Post-op is no picnic either, but it's a very different kind of struggle. No matter how you slice it, the next month or two is going to be ROUGH. You will deal with a lot of discomfort, a lot of fatigue, and a LOT of emotions. Hang in there!
