Angie74 170 Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) When I started this journey I didn't think I'd make it through the 2 week liquid pre op. Now I'm in the home stretch, yet these feel like the hardest 2 days of the entire ordeal. Only Clear Liquids & no more bars...The only thing keeping me going is the thought that I want to have this surgery bad & without any problems. I have no nervousness about the surgery, all my belly is thinking is I wish that I had some food. Anything... something...sweet...salty..savory it doesn't matter, just feed me!...I'm not going to break but Lord knows I want to. I guess I just need to keep busy and like the tough start this too shall pass....rant over Edited February 21, 2016 by Angie74
2goldengirl 2,076 Posted February 21, 2016 How about something like a nice hot bowl of chicken broth? You could fancy it up by floating a lemon slice in it, or throw in a dash of hot sauce. So much of clear and full liquids are both cold and sweet, something hot might be a nice change of pace.
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted February 21, 2016 One of my favorite clear and calorie free beverages is Harney & Sons hot cinnamon spice Decaf tea. If you don't have that brand available you might want to look for a good herb tea.

LipstickLady 25,682 Posted February 22, 2016 Miso Soup is an excellent liquid for variety. I added hot sauce to chicken broth for heat and spice. I strained egg drop Soup because it was a bit thicker so it gave the illusion of texture. It's only a few more days. You can do it.
