TMW2016 36 Posted February 21, 2016 I didn't think I would freak out over a 2 day stall but here I am. I think what is bothering me is it's happening 11 days after my surgery. Is there any veterans that can relate and what did you do?
James Marusek 5,244 Posted February 21, 2016 Stay calm! Stalls are a common occurance. Just remember to meet your Protein, Fluid and Vitamin daily requirements and walk around 30 minutes each day and then let the magic happen.
Cervidae 2,389 Posted February 22, 2016 There are going to be a lot of these little stalls, and a lot of big ones too. Never has someone lost every single day until they hit goal weight, unfortunately. I'm in a stall as we speak... for a month now. It sucks and is frustrating, but I've still lost 110 pounds in 6 months. Do yourself a huge favor and focus on being healthy and taking good care of yourself, as well as healing. The weight loss will come naturally as a result.

That said, stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. If you plan to lose a substantial amount of weight, then you will experience stalls. Almost everyone experiences their first stall about three weeks after surgery. Just follow your program. Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids. Stay off the scale. And, Embrace the Stall! http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall
