I'll have the rest over the next 4 days. Thanks a lot . PS my dog got the crust...he thanks you, too.

lifeofblair 308 Posted February 22, 2016 I use egg roll wrappers or wonton wrappers as a crust when I crave pizza. Gives you the fix you are looking for.

LipstickLady 25,682 Posted February 22, 2016 Today I took 1/3 of a tortilla, topped it with whole milk mozzarella and added pepperoni. I threw it in the microwave for 30 seconds and ate "pizza". It tasted great, I couldn't finish it and it killed the craving. I am three years out.

4MRB4PHOTO 3,900 Posted February 22, 2016 You're a man of the people pizza Giver... Thank you. I am Bernie Sanders' brother, Luigi. My platform is to give free pizza to every American. I will tax Wall Street to cover the cost of this program.
Proud2BMe 1,016 Posted February 22, 2016 Where I live we have a chain called Mazzios that I order from. They sell a mini pizza that is smaller than a small pizza. It's basically toddler size. I order the veggie mini pizza and a small salad. I just eat the topics off of the pizza and throw the crusts away.
Rogofulm 2,440 Posted February 22, 2016 Im 8.5 weeks out has anyone had thin crust pizza??? Im craving pizza but affraid to eat it. Im scared it's going to make me gain weight even if i eat half a slice Seriously? 8.5 weeks out and you're thinking about having pizza? [sorry, the judgmental me kicked in there.] Okay, here are some thoughts to consider.... Re-read the material your doctor and nutritionist gave you about what to eat and what not to eat. What does it say about carbs, especially starches? Understand that making those types of choices can slow down your weight loss dramatically. Is that something that you can tolerate emotionally? Is it worth slowing down your progress for pizza? You have a 12-18 month "honeymoon period" to lose as much as you can and to learn good eating habits. Then it gets harder. The longer you stay away from trigger foods, the less power they will have over you. If you absolutely, positively, cannot live without pizza, do as others have suggested and just have the toppings but no crust. If you stay away from starches and sugars completely, calories and fat don't have as big an impact on your progress, at least during the first year or so. Not a sermon, just some thoughts.... Good luck and be strong!
WLSResources/ClothingExch 3,444 Posted February 22, 2016 My last pizza-topping dinner came four or five years ago. I was too late to request a special order for an evening of volunteer work, so opted for the toppings only. Even though the pizzas came from an especially good, well-known local pizzeria rather than a chain, it was my last. Since surgery it had become all too gloppy and sloppy to be appealing. Not related to surgery, but ever so slightly amusing...After appendectomy about 30 years ago, I was inpatient for four days because of low fever, the first few of which were on IV. On day 3, I began to feel some hunger and slyly asked the chances of getting some pizza sent in. When reminded that I was to be on either liquid for a while, I asked about pizza in a blender. I didn't really want that, but the little joke told me that I was feeling better.
candi256 43 Posted February 23, 2016 The other day I found pizza flavored hummus. Best thing ever when I am wanting pizza but don't want pizza.
jess9395 5,449 Posted February 23, 2016 My surgeon doesn't allow any type of bread, cracker, tortilla, muffin, bagel, etc., until six months out. He's had to go in too many times and retrieve the gooey ball that is formed, and blocks the sleeve. I have literally NEVER heard of that happening. Has anyone else ever heard of that? Honestly, that sounds like an old wives' tale -- or something he says to scare patients into not eating slider foods during the honeymoon weight loss period. Ditto never ever heard of that. Why wouldn't stomach acid dissolve a dough ball?
NYLux12 50 Posted February 23, 2016 The dough ball that forms in your stomach? The outside nutritionist I saw mentioned that to me pre-surgery, and I swear it's the only thing that's helped when I really really crave carbs. So, I choose to believe!
