Clear liquid protein

Had the surgery yesterday and I feel wonderful. I'm still in hospital and will probably go home tomorrow. I'm also 66 years of age and can't believe I feel so good. My problem is that clear Protein they are giving me. It is gagging me terribly. Are there any alternatives I could suggest to my doctor. Anything???? HELP!!!

I am still learning, and I am on week 3 out of the hospital. I was allowed NOTHING. Nothing for you! (not really) I was allowed Water, sugar free Popsicle, which I do not like, ice chips, and Jello, which I do not like, and packages of broth ... "broth" they call it, in little powder packages.

SO I had the Water and "broth" packs and ice, that's it.

If you had surgery yesterday, that seems very progressive to have Protein mixes this soon. I can't remember where I read it, but some nutrionist told me that the Isopure was not actually loaded with Protein we could use because it was "denatured". I thought that was a clear protein. Oh well. Ask them what they are doing to you! =)

What are they giving you?

Mine gave me packets of ProtiDiet liquid Beverage Concentrate and it really helped me get in my Protein. Initially, I ate it undiluted over a little bit of crushed ice.

Syntrax Nectar fruit flavors (mixed with water) and Unjury chicken Soup flavored Proteins were go-to's for me early on.

Eas Protein shakes are good. Walmart sells them. Only 1.5 g of sugar & 17 g of Protein. I ordered a variety pack of the nectar protein the other day.
