Hopefully this meal prep helps me get in what they recommend for soft solids. I hope I can get it all in. The emergency room is very hectic so I have to make time to eat... post-270181-14588407472434_thumb.jpg

@@JapGirl you were told no Protein drinks either ?? hmmm so how did you get all that Water in and eat?? whew your going to make me really try to step it up!. what Iike a days menu for u?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

I'm still allowed to drink them. But I was told to limit them. My nut doesn't want me to live off them. And I dont like the flavor of them now.

I found an 8 pack of 8oz bottles. That adds up to 64 oz. If I finish one 8oz bottle every 2 hours then I'm a be to get all my fluids in. I was able to hit 64oz yesterday.

630am - open first bottle

9am - open 2nd bottle

11am - 3rd bottle

1pm - 4th bottle

3pm - 5th bottle

5pm - 6th bottle

7pm - 7th bottle

9pm - 8th bottle

For food:

Breakfast:

One hard boiled egg

Or

pudding with 1 scoop protien powder

Or

1 triple zero greek yogurt

Or

1 sausage patty

Lunch:

Left over protien from the night before

1/3 c Sloppy Joe mix (no bun)

Or

1/2 a bigger patty (no bun)

Or

2oz pulled pork

Or

2 oz baked chicken

Snack:

2oz sliced deli meat

Or

Triple zero Greek yogurt

Or

Laughing cow cheese with 3-4 crackers

Dinner:

Same as lunch

Does this help? I'm also limiting my intake to 400-600 calories per my nutritionist.

Aunt Flow came to visit. And I bloat pretty bad during shark week. So I'm not losing right now. I hope that by my next weigh in the Water weight will be gone. I'm hopi g I can work my ass off and be at 170 or less by mothers day (currently 188 ). We're having family pictures taken. As in the entire family. Like granparents. Uncles. Aunts. Kids. Grand kids. Everyone. And we only do this about once a decade.

Hello everyone I'm Falecha I was sleeved on Feb 22 nd I've lost 36 lbs but I can't loose any more weight I don't know what to do I've hit a brick wall I go to see my doctor tomorrow I hope everything is OK prayers needed!!!

Welcome Falecha! Glad you posted. You are actually doing quite well (weight wise). Many of us have lost less than that since surgery. I'm only 22 lbs down (but, I'm trying not to complain...because I never lost 22 lbs in a month in the past). Hopefully your Drs. appointment will put your mind at ease. I always write my questions down, so I don't get nervous ad forget....just a suggestion.

I think we have to just keep trying to get Protein and Water goals in, and it will come off. At least, that seems to be the norm. Also, as they said on the other thread...the 3 weeks stall is VERY common. So, we shouldn't worry. :)

Thanks for ur advice I appreciate it maybe I'm reading too much into it r maybe I want the weight to just drop off but it doesn't work that way. I'll let everyone know how my doctors appointment went tomorrow.

Believe me...I know the feeling! I too want the weight to be gone faster. I think it's pretty normal....especially when you've been through so much (surgery, and all that comes with it). But, priase God it's coming off at all! Before surgery my weight was just climbing up and up...for the umpteenth time.

Keep us posted on the Doc apt. Tomorrow. Night

Yeah my only plus side is I'm not gaining. I normally gain 3-5lbs during shark week. So I'm glad it's not going up! I hope the small bottles help. I know today is day 4 and I'm on track to finish early.

Gas x strips are not doing anything for me. I'm been using a heating pad off and on all day. I just want this gas pain to go away.

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My biggest complaint currently is the gas pain in my shoulder. Yall know what could help with it?

I have it too. I think it has to just evaporate. I've only known to use gas x stipe, and walk. I also resd something that said to pull your knees up. Maybe google it.

Yay!!! I'm down 1.5 lbs since yesterday. I am so happy.

I had two goals in the first month

1. To lose at least 30 lbs in the first month (didn't happen)...but I did lose 25 lbs (since day of surgery)...

2. To be under 200 lbs (happened today...199.4...on day 31, close enough!)

I am really encouraged by this. I was a little down yesterday, because I didn't meet my goals.

Some things I have been doing.

1. I increased my Protein a week ago to 74-97 (yesterday was 97, and two other days were 90 & 93). My docs office said take in 50 grams at least (I felt way too tired and shaky only doing 50-69). I've taken two Muscle Milks to help get Protein up, there's just no way I can get those numbers just eating. My doc is not a fan of them, but...I have to at the moment.

2. Increased my Water 64-97 (yesterday)

3. Upped my calories to around 700-850.

Not sure of this helped my stall, but I think it might have. We shall see.

Also, just ordered the Syntax nectar samples(from Bariatric Pantry) and powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury samples (from Unjury), and a new cheap scale from Amazon. Was so excited...I got all of them today! (Very quickly)

Here is the scale link: http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Bathroom-Capacity-Technology/dp/B001KXZ808/ref=zg_bs_85968011_2

It seems pretty accurate so far, it was the same weight three times in a row. It also came with a free measuring tape.

I ordered it and got Free two day shipping by signing up for a Free Prime membership for 30 days (you MUST cancel in 30 days if you don't want it though, or you'll be charged $90-100 for the membership).

I'm definitely going to start my one weekly weighing only, otherwise I think I can get to impatient and discouraged.

I am going to do my measurements tomorrow (and once every 30 days), because sometimes your getting smaller even though the scale isn't dropping...so measurements can be encouraging.

Why thank you! I work 15 hour days overnight so eating all what I a supposed to is really hard. The green stuff is hummus. Than in the middle is chicken salad made with low fat mayo. The little container at the bottom with chicken strip looking this is a Beyond meat dish. Beyond Meat is a faux meet product made of soy and pea Proteins (really tastes like chicken. texture and everything). Its killer good and has 25g of Protein per 4oz. And than the brown stuff is a Mexican chicken dish I made in the crockpot with kidney, black Beans, onion, red/green pepper and chipotle sauce. Nice soft high Protein meals. Oh and I found those little Babybell cheese wheels and two strawberries make a wonderful snack.< /p>

Thank you for the breakdown!

Wow, 15 hour days and overnight. That is impressive...I couldn't do that...I think I would fall asleep.

Yum! Your food options sound good. I think I have to try some of these. I'm a little tired of chili, eggs and refried Beans.

I prefer using kraft olive oil mayo. It's lower in calories than low fat and has a much better flavor. Plus since it's made with olive oil it's better for us cause we need healthy fats.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
