Afrikanaaa 79 Posted February 17, 2016 I'm 5 weeks out, and since I've been home Ive been having the hardest time sleeping. I'm unable to fall asleep when I go to bed at around 10p, and then maybe around 2-3am my body "crashes". I wake up for work at 6a so the crash is never restful. Anyone else experience this? How did you go about regulating your sleep? Also, before anyone asks, I'm getting 75g of Protein in a day, drinking 48-64oz of Water, and my calories sit at about 600-650. I just want my sleep back! ????
KindaFamiliar 3,867 Posted February 17, 2016 I'm just about a year out and am going thru the same at the moment... Unfortunately, I've no advice... I just thought I'd let you know that you're certainly not alone...
jane13 2,256 Posted February 17, 2016 I have been dealing with this before surgery 5/2015 and since WLS it seems to have gotten worse. I was up at 11;56 last night - never went back to sleep.< /p>

Texy 17 Posted February 17, 2016 I'm 7wks out and I had the same problem. I discussed this with my NUT and she insisted I needed to increase my daily calories to between 800-900. She said I was stressing my body by keeping my calorie intake to 650 or less a day. I did this plus added extra magnesium. I began taking 100mg mid morning and again about an hour before bed. The past two weeks I've been sleeping much better, falling asleep much quicker and no mid night wake ups. Not sure if it is the calorie increase or the magnesium buts it has greatly improved. The magnesium tablets are huge...I have to cut them in 4 pieces to swallow but....it's been worth it.
