Dancing Fool 29 Posted February 16, 2016 For Lap Band surgery, it is common for people to go home a few hours after the surgery. I arrived at the surgery center at 6:30, entered the operating room at 8:30 in the morning and was sent home around 11:30.

Julie norton 2,850 Posted February 16, 2016 Many of us have stated we went home (or to a hotel in my case, as I was 3 hrs from home) hours after the outpatient procedure. I had a quick check up the next day and was driven home. Got out to walk around once during the ride The apprehension was worse than the procedure for me!! lamulatona 17 Posted February 18, 2016 Hi guys. So I'm back home from surgery , it was Wednesday morning , but I can't sleep , this shoulder and neck pain is a no no , very uncomfy , any advice or tips to get it down to less pain! ????
UnderDaSea 2 Posted February 18, 2016 Yes. You should try and walk if you can. I had my band removed last week and the shoulder pain was worse than the incision pain! The only thing I could do to get relief was to to walk. I did not want to take my pain meds because I didn't want to get nauseas. Hope you are doing well! UnderDaSea 2 Posted February 18, 2016 Good. That you've been walking. I have different circumstances than you so you may not have any nausea with the pain meds. How are you today?

UnderDaSea 2 Posted February 18, 2016 (edited) Honestly. Not too hot. I have serve reflux, and it's gotten worse since the band was taken out. I have to go back to the hospital for another upper GI, and they may have to dilate my stomach because of the scar tissue from where the band was.
