Panic attacks, restless arm/leg issues

Recommended Posts

Hello

I was sleeved 2 weeks ago and have been having mild panic attacks. I also find myself having my arms and legs restless at night and very panic like restlessness when trying to sleep. Has anyone else had this issue and does it go away?

Thanks Ed

I had restless legs also. It lasted for about 2 weeks and then resolved itself. I did a search here when it was happening to me and found a few others that had also experienced it... it did go away for us all within a few weeks.

I still have restless leg problems and I am almost 5 weeks out. I notice it happens the more tired I am. So I have started going to bed a little earlier and for the most part it's helping.

Are you taking your B12? Those can both happen with low B12 levels and that's one of the Vitamins that is really difficult post op because of where and how it's absorbed. Make sure you are following recommendations on that!

Try meditation daily for the panic attacks. It really helped me.

I'm taking the B12 via nasal spray once a week.

Maybe see if your doc can test your levels to see if your body is absorbing enough. Both stress/anxiety and restless leg have even linked to low B12

About 2 months out my thyroid crashed and I developed restless feet. 2 months later I still have it. Mine is a little different as it is at its worse in the early afternoon. The Docs have me on Requip and that works, but it takes about an hour from when you take it to help. I also notice that it is worse right after I exercise hard.

It could be due to the flood of hormones that have hit your system. Your fat cells store hormones so when you burn fat, it floods your system. You may also find yourself as moody as a 13 year old. It will pass. If you continue having issues, talk to your doctor.

I suggest you research the symptoms of low magnesium.
