I've not eaten for 2 weeks as I'm on pre op liquid diet so why do I feel like I've got heartburn and this awful pain in my chest? It's 3.45am and everytime I lie down to go to sleep the pain gets worse!! Monday can't come soon enough,operation day!!

If you lay down too soon after drinking your liquids, you may in fact have reflux.
