cdeisroth 420 Posted July 1, 2016 @@swizzle I'm eating between 600-800 calories as well. One or two days I've gotten to 900 or so but that's rare. I have not been exercising, but that's just pure laziness on my part. I need to start though because I'm definitely in need of some toning. I'm starting to look like a deflated balloon! numeby2017 88 Posted July 5, 2016 March bypass here as well. Down 57 since surgery 3/28 and 102 total with preop liquid and watching what I was eating during beginning appointments. So happy with my decision, I feel so much better physically, more energy. What's a typical day food/drink wise for fellow March RNY's? And exercise? I know everyone is different, just curious. Sent from my KFSAWI using the BariatricPal App Typical day for me is a Protein shake or Greek yogurt for Breakfast, salad with a Protein like chicken for lunch and 3-4 oz of Protein for dinner with some veggies. I eat a lot of raw veggies like carrots, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers as Snacks and also have one to two servings of fruit a day. Right now I can't stop eating Bing cherries! Meals are still fairly small, about 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup of food per meal

swizzle 120 Posted July 5, 2016 A typical day for me is a Protein Shake for Breakfast, hard boiled egg with hummus and fruit for lunch, Greek yogurt for snack, dinner I'll usually have a lean Protein like ground turkey or chicken and I'll just prepare it the same way I make my family's dinner but I'll just have that. I haven't been able to add much else to each meal, and veggies take up a lot of space for me! But spinach is okay or cucumbers if I chew really well! Lol! For exercise I am kind of addicted, but I try and do 60 minutes at least 5x a week... Most times more. I used to be really active (even when I was 120+ lbs overweight) but it took a few months after surgery to get really back into the swing of things, because my energy level just wasn't there yet! nearperfectmess 115 Posted July 5, 2016 Hey all! RnY on March 16. First consult weight was 328. Surgery weight 300 even. Current weight... 220lbs. Ahhhhh! 80 lbs yesterday since surgery. 108 overall. I just...I can't believe it. I did not expect to lose this much, this fast. I've only just recently started getting better about exercise. I'm going about 4x a week. I'm determined to do a 5k here in Phoenix in September, so I'm stepping up my gym and treadmill time. I can't believe I'm even saying that. It was always a dream, but didn't seem possible. food wise, I've been cleared to return to a "normal" diet, but I still have trouble with some things. I have a Premier Protein shake for Breakfast, generally a leftover Protein and some veggies for lunch and 3oz of protein with veg and sometimes a little starch (sweet potatoes have been HEAVEN). No real dumping, although I was bad last night and tried a few spoons of my partner's ice cream. That was a big NOPE from the pouch. Hope everyone is well! robin125 16 Posted July 7, 2016 I'm down over 100 lbs since rny on March 7. I've also begun to hit the gym (6', male, down to 306 lbs from 410 lbs and a peak of 432 lbs). I started lifting weights last week. I lifted on a 5-day split for 20 years, maintaining a solid 190-210 lbs on my frame before some health issues started the downward spiral. I'm doing a push/leg/pull split on M/W/F with cardio on T/Th/Sa and rest on Sunday to provide adequate recovery. I'm surprised at how easy it was to navigate my workout at my old gym! My calorie intake is now up to 1400 per day with 80-100 g of Protein. I'm vegetarian, so most comes from dairy, Beans, grains, and the rare egg. I drink a supplement on occasion. I'm able to eat salads again. Some store-bought veggie meat replacements still don't sit well, so I avoid those. I ate a bean tostada from a taco place yesterday and loved it! It was only $0.89 and I was full, lol! Sent from my LG-H810 using the BariatricPal App
