thinatheart13 69 Posted February 10, 2016 Hey everybody. I have my surgery pretty soon (2/29) and want to lose at least 10 pounds before it. So I'm on a diet regimen. So far I've been eating about 1200 calories a day. I'm thinking it's too much. I try and eat 1 Protein Shake a day and get about 65g in a day. Should I cut back the calories to less than 800 a day?? ACV 34 Posted February 10, 2016 Im glad you have asked. Good question for this newbie. I'm eating fewer calories now. I set it at 1300 but I have been getting 800-900 and the app I'm using tells me I'm NOT eating enough to lose weight. I'm at a loss. Thank you.
JamieLogical 8,710 Posted February 10, 2016 It's usually not recommended for any adult to eat fewer than 1000 calories a day. Of course, the pre and post-op diets bring us below that amount temporarily, but it's not ideal or sustainable.
AnA92212 577 Posted February 10, 2016 Pre op diet is typically only for 2 weeks. I think i ate about 600 calories for those 2 weeks, but it sucked...bad!
