Jasmine Smith 235 Posted February 10, 2016 Hey guys. I'm 7months post op and down 133lbs since surgery and 91lbs before surgery, for a total of 224lbs gone forever!!!! I'm so excited with my progress, but I still have an extremely long ways to go. My highest weight 519...current weight 295. Well things are going great but I'm being bothered with horrible hunger pains, especially at night. It's like my appetite as risen from the dead. Most days I consume between 800-850 calories. I get between 80-100 grams of Protein and over 80oz of Water a day. I also work at with a personal trainer 5 days a week. Anybody else have or had this problem?!? Djmohr 6,965 Posted February 11, 2016 You may be at a point where you need to increase your intake a little. Especially if you are working out regularly. Can you give your nut a call and ask for suggestions? At about 6 months post op I had to increase to between 900 and 1100 calories a day and I am still losing. Daisee68 2,493 Posted February 11, 2016 I agree. You likely need more calories especially if you are working out. At 7 1/2 months post-op my NUT reviewed my food log and asked if I was fighting hunger since I was only getting 750-800 calories (and I wasn't working out). I wasn't really having hunger issues but still she said to go ahead and increase to 900-1000 calories. Even with that I am still losing (and still not working out - at least not like you are). I would call your NUT but extra calories do seem in order. So grats o. Your fantastic work!!
Jasmine Smith 235 Posted February 11, 2016 Thank you both for that suggestion. I did speak with my NUT and she did suggest exactly that. Increasing calories to 1000. I'm so terrified of gaining weight by doing this, but I know it's all in my mind. They also scheduled for me to come in tomorrow to review my food dairies. Thank you so much!!!
