My incisions were glued. I was told to let the glue come off naturally and not to run or pick at it. I wouldn't recommend ripping anything off. If in doubt about what to do, call your surgeon's office.

I helped mine come off at a week. I am allergic to the glue and was rubbing them and they all came off. As long as it has been at least a week, I would just wash the area with warm Water and a mild soap. That should help them loosen.

I had 2 of the 5 come off. That's when I found out I had staples. I was very careful not to lose the other 3 till I saw my doctor.

Mine stayed on, although were a little lifted around the edges. It was tempting!

I think they came off at my two week appointment. It was nice because they have the adhesive remover. That stuff irritates my skin. So it all came off.

My incisions were glued.

They told me at my follow up the day after surgery that they had sutured mine so I didn't have to come back in a week. I won't go back for 3 months :) I def ain't ripping these suckers off. I had just always heard they came off in about 7-10 days but guess not. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't alone. I do wash over them with my soap and Water in the shower but the edges are getting a little dirty. Just want to make sure I don't get some kind of infection.

Mine were all lifted on the edges but weren't really coming off on their own. One of the incisions was clearly healed and the strips were the loosest there so I kind of tested it by pulling gently. I came right off, basically looked like it was just stuck on the scab. So then I carefully peeled the others off. They all came off very easily. I wouldn't have pulled them if they hurt or pulled at all though. I was about 2 weeks out. As for the adhesive, I just got it good and wet in the shower and rubbed it off with my finger.

It would appear that the strips lasted longer than the freaking umbilical hernia repair that was done along with my sleeve.

I'm pissed about that. More surgery to look forward to later this year. Damn !

I think I peeled mine off in the shower after the first week.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
