agreen67 47 Posted February 10, 2016 (edited) Has anyone tried this product, specifically the Power Cakes (Protein Packed Flapjack & Waffle Mix)? They have it on sale at my local costco and I was wondering how they taste. According to the nutrition label, 1/2 cup of mix has 14g of Protein. At $9 I may as well buy a box and check, but wanted to ask first. Here is their website: Breakfast.. maybe add some berries or banana to dress them up a little. OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted February 10, 2016 Never heard of them. Have you tried cream cheese pancakes? http://www.ibreatheimhungry.com/2012/01/cream-cheese-pancakes.html
agreen67 47 Posted February 10, 2016 @@OutsideMatchInside Never heard of these, but they look very tasty! Thank you for sharing the recipe. I'm burned out with eggs, Cereal and oatmeal.
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted February 10, 2016 They rock. I have been eating them for years. Get some Walden Farms Syrup, it tastes delicious. They are thin and crepe like. If you want them a litlle thicker add a tablespoon of coconut flour.
JamieLogical 8,710 Posted February 10, 2016 Seem a bit high in carbs for the weight loss phase. Maybe in maintenance.... 25 net carbs is a lot for one meal.
Valentina 2,642 Posted February 10, 2016 I was really looking forward to giving them a try, but I see the mix has soy in it. I am extremely allergic to soy. Rats! I did try a carrot cupcake recipe that I found in a pamphlet that was taped onto the last tub of Quest Protein Powder that I bought. Each cupcake has (with cream cheese/protein frosting) 13g-protein,3g-net carbs (15 total carbs), 2g Fiber and 140calories. For a Valentines' Day treat, they are tasty. There is also a recipe for crepes, but I haven't tried that one yet. I bought my Quest at GNC, but I know that this site sells it at their store. In my opinion it is the best Protein powder that I have tried. Each shake hhas 22-23gr of protein, 100-110cal, <1g sugar. --and the taste is excellent!
