Why am I constantly feeling like I am doing everything wrong? I feel like I am taking to many sips or eating one slice of cheese to fast. Ugh!!!!

I believe you need to relax. Trust yourself and your journey, Miss Connecticut :). Vigilance is a necessity, but obsessiveness is strength zapping.

I put the word "RELAX" on my mirror in my bedroom. On the fridge I have the word "TRUST". Those are just for me. No one needs to know what they mean. My small gift to myself.

You got this----you know it!!!

You are being mindful of your eating and want to eat correctly.

I would say you are doing it right.

Keep up the great work.

I am having a hard time taking a half hour to eat my food. I am on 1/4 of a cup and I only eat a couple of bites an I am done.

That will change so hang in there. As you heal you will be able to eat more. Focus on quality and not quantity. Measure your food but don't stress if you cannot finish it all. Relax and breathe. You've got this!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
