After so many month does feeling full end?

It does end. I can't really remember when mine went away. It was probably around month six. Up until then every time I ate my tiny portions I felt like I had just consumed a huge holiday meal. I am 20 months post op and that feeling is gone????. However, I still have some restriction left and can't eat anywhere near the portions I could eat pre op, so the sleeve is still working. I just have to be more diligent to maintain my weight.

At 26 months out, I still have significant restriction and continue to feel full after about 4 ounces of Protein (chicken, beef or fish).

I usually wait a little while and then have vegetables and maybe small amount of starch.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "feeling full". I no longer go from feeling fine to "OMG, I'm going to explode!" in one bite like I did for the first 4 months or so. But I do still get "full" feeling to where I don't want to eat anymore pretty quickly. It's just not so painfully uncomfortable now. Like, I just had my morning Protein Bar. It's 2.22 ounces. And I definitely feel too full to even want to take a sip of Water right at this moment. I'm 17 months post-op.

I'm almost 14 months out and still feel full (restriction) after about 4 ounces of solid, or 5-6 of more liquid/soft foods.

Your stomach will eventually relax a bit more and you'll be able to eat more than in the early months, but you should always have the feeling of restriction/fullness when eating solid foods. The issues happen when you consume liquids or super soft stuff like ice cream or cake, or crackers with liquid - things that will turn to mush easily will slider right through your stomach and can cause you to feel like you still can eat more. That's why they call those types of foods "sliders."

I'm 29 months post-op and I still get full at far less than it ever took before. As a comparison, when I first ate oatmeal after surgery I could eat about half a bowl of instant oatmeal before I was full. Now, I make a packet of instant oatmeal and pour some granola into the bowl and I can eat about 1/3 to 1/2 and I feel full enough that I don't think I can eat another bite. Dense food still makes me feel very full very quickly.

You'll get there! I dumped the Protein Shakes as soon as I was allowed solid foods. Still have to do Protein Bars to meet my 100 gram per day Protein goal, but they are MUCH preferable to the shakes.< /p>

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
