2 weeks post op. Start at 341, surgery at 323 and currently at 310. Lost a ton of weight pre op and week 1 but since I went from liquids to soft solids, I have stalled or gain .2-.4 a day. I'm getting ~500 cals which the nutritionist recommends for this phase. Not cheating at all or eating between meals. Also nothing is high sodium in my diet.

Anyone else experience this? When did the stall break and did you do anything special? Just frustrating to work so hard and see no progress right out of the gate.

I am 4 weeks post OP on this Monday. I have lost 10-12lbs being some days I gain a lb or2 !! I lost that in the first 2 weeks but that's it!!

I like you am doing all the correct things! It's very frustrating!

I took my scale and dug a big hole and buried that son of a gun!!

I'm not going to weigh unless I'm at the Doc office! Just do all the right things. Everyone says it will eventually balance out and work!

Keeping the faith????

Same here. 3 weeks post op and scale is only fluctuating between.2-.4 give or take. I am following all of my docs orders too. I keep telling myself to be patient. Everyone says this happens and it's just part of the process. Hang in there!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
