JamieLogical 8,713 Posted February 5, 2016 Are you pre or post-op? Either way, the best way to kick the carb habit is to go back to putting Protein first. You might even want to return to just a liquid diet of Protein Shakes for a few days.
Runner1 52 Posted February 6, 2016 I too was consuming too many calories. So, I did the 5 day pouch test and am back on track and down 5 lbs. I really works and lets you know that your tool is still functioning. Might want to give it a try.
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted February 6, 2016 I've been eating so much / frequently, a lot of carbs .. How do I stop How far post-op are you? Are you tracking, weighing, and measuring your food? Are you planning your meals and Snacks? Are you not bringing high-carb and starchy foods into the house? Have you talked to your NUT about your difficulties? Try going back to basics. Follow your program. Focus on eating Protein first and avoiding starches and added sugars. Eat slowly, take small bites, and chew thoroughly. Get in ALL of your Protein and AT LEAST 64 oz of Fluid or more a day. Take your Vitamins and supplements as required. Exercise.
