iamaredhed39 0 Posted February 2, 2016 Has anyone done the Pre-Op diet to trigger weight loss during a weight loss stall? Just curious if it actually works or not?
Craig Wildi 68 Posted February 2, 2016 I'm currently in my second stall in the month since I had surgery. I don't know if there is a way to get out of the stall or not, but I have tried everything I know to try. I find it very discouraging to be working so hard (exercise), and only have lost 17 pounds in the last month. I lost much more on the pre-op diet, compared to post surgery. Good luck, hope your stall doesn't last long.
MissRobin 93 Posted February 2, 2016 Stalls are caused by your body needing time to catch up from the rapid weight loss. Just keep on with everything and your body will restart the weight loss again soon. I PROMISE. We've all been in your shoes ..... a few times over 17# in one month is DEFIANTLY something to be proud of. In a week you'll be at 20, then 23,. then 27. Its only going to go up from here. iamaredhed39 0 Posted February 2, 2016 So has anyone actually tried it to see if it would help? That was my question.
her1981 448 Posted February 3, 2016 I live on the "pre op" diet, but mine was basically a low carb low fat diet.... I personally do not prefer the liquid diet to break a stall. I might drop carbs or eat some carbs to shake up my diet based on how long I've been stalling and the foods I've been eating, but overall, I just ride them out. My body has a pattern of stalling for 2-3 weeks and then the 4th week I'll lose 6-10 pounds, pretty much EVERY month.
cindyw41 761 Posted February 3, 2016 I've thought about doing this too. I just don't think I can get that much Protein in now.
