Lisa_85 118 Posted February 2, 2016 Anyone have a hard time going to the bathroom? I was totally opposite before this. Now I am living off of Milk of Magnesia!! (Nasty)
Craig Wildi 68 Posted February 2, 2016 Try benefiber. It is a tasteless fine powder that you can add to any drink, or sprinkle on your food. Totally tasteless. I think the problem is the amount of Protein we take in, if I am not mistaken.
VDLT 244 Posted February 2, 2016 I put Miralax in my morning Protein Shake
Lisa_85 118 Posted February 2, 2016 Well I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem.
shortyvel 42 Posted February 2, 2016 Miralax should we take it everyday? I am also having issues with this. Doctor said to take Miralax if I had any problems, but I do not know if I need it everyday. Stool softener was also suggested.
4MRB4PHOTO 3,900 Posted February 2, 2016 Do you keep yourself well hydrated? Also, do you happen to be taking a large dosage of an Iron supplement?
Susan66 128 Posted February 2, 2016 Having the same issue & benefiber wasn't helping. What has helped very much is Smooth Move tea and it taste good to. I drink a cup every other night.
Tobeornottobe 89 Posted February 3, 2016 Maybe add some Probiotics. They help with healthy gut bacteria.
jembell01 129 Posted February 3, 2016 Totally having the same issue here. I drank a Premier Protein this morning though and it went right through me, clearing my blockage...sorry TMI ????
tamnmike1206 1 Posted February 3, 2016 U have to take miralax or something like that. Because you are always bound up.
Nurse_Lenora 903 Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) Being high Protein low /no carb we are all lacking Fiber. Keeping hydrated will help as will miralax or the Smooth Move tea. Edited February 3, 2016 by Nurse_Lenora
theladyslipper 120 Posted February 4, 2016 It's terrible & completely no fun having "potty problems." I use miralax in my crystal light & milk of magnesia (cherry is good-ish) & am moving to colace twice a week. I look forward to the day when I can have a little oatmeal & some prunes. Oh gosh, I'm turning into my grandmother????
avenever 5 Posted February 5, 2016 I'm putting mirilax in my am water... It's a daily must after the the most painful three days after starting real foods!
GirthyGirl 79 Posted February 5, 2016 I can count on one hand the number of times in my life I've been constipated. This is awful!! I started taking stool softeners and they are helping.
DaisyAmy 561 Posted February 5, 2016 I was having the same issues. I'm 7 weeks out or so. They told me to take up to 4 Colace a day and Miralax, if needed. If I'm consistent with the Colace, 1 a day seems to be working ok. My NUT said it gets better as we are able to incorporate more veggies into our diets.
