Last night I skipped dinner because my stomach was feeling just odd. Thursday night my son had a stomach flu maybe it was a touch of that, but this morning I could barely stand up and sit down with my 9 month old God son in my arms. It was a bizarre feeling I haven't had since my heart problems started 10 years ago. I squatted down to pick something up later and seriously did not have the energy to stand back up. Until yesterday I have met my Protein goals and have been feeling great.I'm pushing the liquids and ate protein once today all though I could not eat much. If it is not better by morning, I'll call in, with my bum heart I have always had down days where I was so tired I had to rest maybe I'm getting spoiled so today caught me off guard.

At about 6-8 weeks post surgery I was very weak and tired (by around 3 pm I was too tired to do much) and my pulse was down to 50 beats per minute. My blood test results were normal and a 24 hour heart monitor showed nothing wrong with my heart. It went away after about a week and a half but the doctors never did figure out what caused it. Maybe you have the same thing I had.

I hope so, still just trying to get Fluid down and not anything else. Feel ok but have to try and get my meds down.

I had the same problem yesterday. I felt so weak. I think it's because I didn't have any Protein in the morning!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
