sshawk69 17 Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) I'm 5 months out and a month ago I up my workout classes. Doing 6 days a week of metabolic conditioning and strength conditioning classes. Pretty hardcore 1:10 min long sessions. Since starting I haven't lost any weight I'm drinking all my fluids plus some getting on my Protein in. No carbs don't think I'm eating enough now. I'm around 800 to 850 a day. My nut says I should be eating 1000 or more but afraid I'll gain. Any in sights??? Edited January 30, 2016 by sshawk69
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted January 30, 2016 Don't know why, but any day that I use my weights, I am up at least 1/2 pound the next day.....then it takes me three days to lose it again.
2goldengirl 2,076 Posted January 30, 2016 You are most definitely not eating enough. I'd back off a bit on the exercise (maybe do an active rest day in place of one day of workouts), and increase your intake maybe 100 calories/day for a few days. See what happens. You aren't going to have some big gain all at once. You sound fearful - afraid to eat, afraid not to work out intensively. If you read these boards, you learn that the folks who are successful long-term have learned to understand balance. They've learned to treat themselves, and their bodies, not just with respect and discipline, but kindness. You're working very hard on the fitness part, but your body needs fuel as well as work to achieve your fitness goals. Good luck!
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted January 30, 2016 It sounds like your NUT is right. You aren't eating enough to support your exercise. It concerns me when you say you aren't eating any carbs. You need some healthy carbs, especially if you are exercising intensely.
