Heard of Yes Whey Protein?

Recommended Posts

I had to ditch New Whey Protein because only 4% is absorbed. Has a pdcaas ranking of 100 (compared to new whey which had 4). Does anyone know anything about Yes Whey? I assume the label is correct and it is good for my protein goal, but I assumed the same for new whey.

Right!!!!! I just don't want to use it as a large dose of daily Protein if it's not what I think it is. New whey does not say it is collagen protein.

It does in the ingredient list.

I am also only allowed Protein isolate. I can't have anything that has "protein concentrate" or "protein blend" in the ingredients.

I'll have to check this out, but keep in mind even at 42g your body will only absorb 30-35 of a good Protein source :)

Where did you find it? I saw it listed on Bariatric advantage and Amazon but both sites no longer sell it. I would have to wonder why they quit selling it if it was a good quality product.

I agree with this. You aren't supposed to do more than 30 grams of Protein per hour, it's tough on your kidneys and doesn't get fully absorbed.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
