Ok, I think I'm cranky!

Called dr. office to return to work - they moved my date back 2 weeks and didn't tell me.

Have all my HP meds eliminated but they are not monitoring my BP?

Blood sugar was out of control during hospital stay - not monitoring

Pain in abdomen still - not seeing dr. only Nut in few weeks

Is it me or shouldn't they (dr.) see me again prior to returning to work???? How do I/they know my BP and blood sugars are ok? I have never been released from surgery without a visit prior to returning to work to make sure everything is back to "normal".

What does everyone else think??

If you have a desk job I wouldn't think you would need a release. If you work in some kind of labor related field you should probably have a release.

I didn't get a release to go back to work. I am still waiting on a release to start working out at the gym.

I had one week post op visit with my surgeon's NP. I did receive a release for work, but that was at my request because my HR required it. Since I work a desk job, my surgical team was OK with me deciding how long I wanted to stay off work. I will have a one month post op visit with the Nut and then a 6 week follow up with my surgeon's NP again. In regards to bp and bs, both of those had to be controlled prior to hospital discharge. They checked my bp at my one week post op, however, any issues would have been referred to my primary care for follow up.

I do have a desk job and need the release form for HR.

I guess I would feel better if the doctor saw me prior to going back to work to make sure I didn't have a set-back once returning. Also, the BP and BS needs to be addressed and really hasn't.

I guess this is the new medical like the new math???

Your primary care provider should be managing your high blood pressure, diabetes, etc .... Not the surgeon.

Maybe make an appointment with who prescribes those medications for better monitoring and management.

I do agree the surgeon should probably see you before clearing you for work though.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
