I also have ordered it online too. I can't drink Premier Protein vanilla or Atkins chocolate, those I bought pre surgery, and can't drink them, too gross for me.

For ready-to-drink shakes, I used EAS AdvantEDGE Carb Control (Rich Dark chocolate was my favorite). For Protein powders, I just use Now Sports unflavored whey isolate and mixed my own flavors using Torani sugar-free syrups. But I haven't drunk Protein Shakes since the day I was cleared to eat solid foods. I was SOOOOOO over them by then! I switched to Protein Bars for supplemental protein as soon as I was allowed.

Of everything I've tried, I prefer the @@unjury Protein powders. I use them all, except the strawberry sorbet. There are recipes available on the @@UNJURY website. One of my favorite combinations is SF orange & pineapple drink mixed with the vanilla Protein powder - delicious! Sometimes the same combination with a little skim mild added. I also like the chocolate splendor, skim milk, and a little coffee. Also, the vanilla with skim milk and your favorite SF Torani (or whatever brand you use) Syrup. I buy the Torani syrups at World Market, Skinny Girl at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, my neighborhood Walmart and grocery stores also carry the syrups, and in a pinch I can always pick up a bottle of Starbucks SF syrup at one of their locations (about the same price as World Market). Get creative!

I only drink one shake a day, so I just use Premier. I usually just stick to the chocolate because I like it better than strawberry. But last week when the Premier shakes were on coupon at costco I picked up a case of strawberry to mix in to make a smoothie.

I did just get some Quest samples, so I'm a little excited to try those.

At this point I am almost 10 months out, so unless I add stuff to a shake its super boring. SF syrups, PB2, fruit... something to make it more exciting.

Once I could have Protein bars I switched to mostly those. I still eat around 90 grams of Protein a day through supplements per my Drs plan.

I can easily drink the Premier Protein shakes. I drink one religiously every morning. Around mid afternoon or a bit earlier, I indulge in a Quest bar. With these two supplements I have reached 50 grams of Protein. It makes it much easier to hit my goals with this help. Luckily for me, I like both products. food wise, I am consuming lots of tuna, chicken, boiled eggs, and black Beans, to reach the remainder of my protein goal.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
