Yah jan 28th i started pureed diet. I have a magic bullet so i practically made it all into baby food. The squash i made very liquidy so its almost like Soup it goes down better. But the egg puree i made like devil eggs and whipped it. Its really good and easy on my stomach and high protien. I used cottage cheese and 1 teaspoon of fat free mayo and 12 egg yolks. The avocado the same i whipped it in my bullet and its great. I even had some cream of wheat with cinnamon and the stevia brown sugar, that was good too on my stomch. Keep in mind im only eating a few small teaspoons and im full. But my surgeon said i was good to go. One week from now i start regular soft moist foods.

My surgeon must be really conservative. 2 weeks full liquid, 2 weeks purée, 2 weeks soft, then slowly introduce solid foods

I am also eating small portions of soft puréed food. I haven't had any problems lately. The dizzy spells are gone now. Gatorade zero really helped with those. I'm 2.5weeks out. Surgery in Mexico.

Have you been getting all your Protein and liquids in? I know if I don't get all my Protein and fluids in I don't loose weight. Also has your doctor released you to start walking?

I haven't seen my doctor yet. I have an appointment on Monday. I try to get 60 g of Protein in a day. 2 shakes and I have been eating eggs. My blood pressure is very low. Today it was 99/69. And so I haven't been walking as I'm shaky and weak. It's very frustrating and then to top it all off I haven't lost any weight at all this week.

So you were on full liquids for 3 weeks before pureed food? Wow thats will power! Great job! My doctor said i can start eating regular food this Thursday as long as it is soft and not dry. I have already been on pureed for one week, it was a very slow go, mostly full liquids anyways. Surgery was on the 18th. Its been great. Good luck tomorrow!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
