I also made that bargain "I'll believe in you again if you just let me crap!" Didn't work. Or maybe it did, but I'm more inclined to believe that the overdose of laxatives, suppositories and enemas are what did it.

You can mix together equal parts prune juice and OJ and warm it. Drink it and don't leave the house!

Good luck

I firmly believe God created laxatives :-)

I've found that making sure I get my Water in every day, and lots of walking, goes a long way in keeping things moving. But if in that situation, when all else fails...a big dose on MOM does it for me.

Sorry you're miserable.

You guys, if going into labor hurts like what I just went through, I'm never having children.

Stomach has been cramping for days and was not able to use the restroom. Finally just gave up and used an enema.

I've never had to put my face in a towel and scream while trying to go.

I have around 80g of Protein a day, take stool softeners, drink lots of Water, and just had a traumatic experience like that. What am I doing wrong?

Smooth Move tea and laxatives give me awful cramps. (Felt like that needed to be added)

well, all I can say is you didn't get an epidural first ????

The Water, Miralax every day...milk of magnesia if you need it. And walking....YOU moving a lot keeps your bowels moving too.

Sorry you went through that. I think we all have at some point. It's no fun...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
