Day 5: miserable

Day 7 - still miserable ???? The enema & suppositories were useless - nothing - just continued pain. Have my appt with surgeon this morning and am praying for some type of relief. I'm too afraid to take my pain meds because I know that adds to the Constipation.

Ask for Lactulose, it really helped me I think. I can't be positive because of everything I was taking at the time, but I think it did.

Juan2bhealthy - try some Miralax powder in Water. IT WAS REALLY REALLY REALLY helpful for me. I hope you feel better soon. I know I felt immediately better after the first time I went #2 post surgery!

Just an FYI update. It turns out my pain and misery had nothing to do with Constipation. The tube from my drain had somehow slipped and worked its way down near my lower intestines. Once they removed the drain I was 100% better. Didn't even have a BM for another 2+ days but felt great.
