"TWOONERVILLE," a nice place to visit on the way elsewhere

Recommended Posts

One of our esteemed colleagues, Mr. @Fatty McFatster of the U.S.A. McFatsters has announced having slid in under 300. [Applause, applause.] No word has ever taken hold for the achievement and there should be one. "Onederland" is a great place name. I propose "Twoonerville" for its neighbor and, in thanks for inspiring the name, appoint FMcF as Mayor for as long as his pants stay up without suspenders.

I approve! I only recently hit Twoonerville for the first time in over a decade myself and I was thinking about this exact thing. Nice work. ;)

@@Cervidae, I remember your announcement.

Thank you for writing a real comment here. I was hoping someone would actually speak. You also were the one back when I posted that nice little November poem. I'm going to your profile right now because, if we haven't already done that "friend" thing, I'm clicking in. You're a keeper!

Happy afternoon to you.

I'm so glad to see this! I was trying to think of what it should be called the other day and this is just perfect. Lol I can't wait to reach Twoonerville one day!

I am 6 lbs away from leaving Twoonerville and entering Onederland. Will I receive a going away party from the Mcfatsters of the US of A?

@@shrinkingkimber, you will reach it with bells and whistles.

@@HopeandAgony, indeed. Then they'll see you off at the trolley. In short time, though, they'll join you. You'll frolic together in Onederland, drink mountain-fresh Water, pop cherry-flavored, sublingual Vit. B12 tabs and dance the Lobster Quadrille 'neath the light of the silv'ry moon. You'll all have a jolly time.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
