LSherritt 7 Posted January 22, 2016 I am almost through my first week of pre-op 6 months supervised diet. For me the dr calls it a sandwich diet. One week high Protein /low carb and two weeks clear liquid alternating. I found unflavored hemp Protein to try but was wondering if anyone else has food allergies? I am allergic to caseins in dairy and eggs. Many protein drinks have egg albumin and of course whey is out. So many high protein suggestions are hard boiled eggs , yogurt , cottage cheese but I can't eat any of it. I feel like this is going to be a bigger challenge for me . Valentina 2,642 Posted January 22, 2016 I know what you are going through. I am allergic to anything SOY and all legumes (beans/peas, etc.) I had to research, research, research. The internet is a great resource. Also, I would ask your nutritionist for help. Let people know in your surgeon's office. They could make it a challenge to see who can find you a suitable replacement first. Of course with all of the folks on this site, it would not surprise me if somebody out there will have exactly what you need. Good luck. Be healthy and keep in touch. I care... rastus 35 Posted January 22, 2016 Baked Beans are a fantastic, inexpensive source of Protein. Just make sure you get ones that are not laced up with SUGARS like most US ones. Ones from Italy are usually very good & lowest in carbohydrates [on the nutritional label. http://www.aww.com.au/latest-news/health/10-things-you-did-not-know-about-baked-beans-2961
